Neil Vreeland

Private family services for Neil A. Vreeland of Grass Valley will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary. Pastor Andy Owens will officiate the services. A public memorial will be conducted at a later date.

Mr. Vreeland died Monday, March 20, in Grass Valley. He was 75.

He was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Santa Maria, to Guy and Ena (Tognazzini) Vreeland. He graduated from high school and junior college in San Luis Obispo. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He also served in the National Guard. He worked at Indian Springs Winery. He was a member of the Knights of the Vine. He enjoyed fishing and coin collecting.



He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy (Vreeland) Davis and Jerry T. Davis; nieces Debby (Davis) Fields, and Jerri L. Davis both of Sacramento; and nephews Craig P. Davis of Grass Valley, and Brent R. Davis of Canoga Park. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Vreeland in 1953; and mother, Ena Vreeland in 1996.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
