National jewelry, metal arts show opens at Sierra College

The Ridley Gallery at Sierra College in Rocklin is sponsoring a national jewelry and metal arts show, “Inspired Treasure,” for five weeks starting Monday, Aug. 27.

On Sept. 6, the gallery will host a reception for the students, faculty, and community from 4 to 7 p.m.

Jewelry teacher Kat Oliver has included in the show the faculty of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, Cynthia Down’s woven jewelry from Arizona, Maja contemporary designs from Carmel, Kara Raymond’s Japanese Mokume Gane designs from Healdsburg, techno-romantic jewelry by Thomas Mann from New Orleans and handmade metal display units and a collaboration of steel and aluminum jewelry created by the college’s students and faculty.



The Ridley Gallery is located in the Learning Resource Center in Room 102 at the Sierra College Rocklin Campus, 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin.
