National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Grass Valley Chapter 1335

Members of the Grass Valley Chapter 1335 gathered Feb. 9 to socialize, enjoy a wonderful lunch and participate in a fun fundraiser for the chapter. “Treasures” were gleaned from the recesses of closets ad donated to the “white elephant” auction, which in turn were bid on and taken home to be treasured by new owners. A good time was had by all as chapter President Larry Kinkor donned his auctioneer extraordinaire attire and encouraged spirited bidding. Many thanks to the members who donated and purchased these wonderful items, which increased the treasury by a nice sum.

The next chapter meeting will take place March 9. The speaker for the meeting will be The Union Editor Pat Butler and will be followed by a business meeting.

All current and retired federal employees and their spouses are eligible to join NARFE and are welcome to attend our meetings. Chapter 1335 meets the second Thursday of each month at the Moose Lodge No. 2217, 15694 Allison Ranch Road (just off Highway 49) Grass Valley. Social time begins at 11:15 a.m. and lunch is served at noon with program and business meeting following. For more information, call 273-7324.
