Music festival

I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon at the final concert of Music in the Mountains’ Spring Festival, featuring concertmaster Robin Mayforth and the 2-year-old Solisti Glitterati Ensemble, a 14-piece orchestra. As Grieg’s beautiful Holberg Suite for Strings was wrapping up the program, I thought how extraordinarily fortunate this community is to have the incredible talent and personality of Paul Perry as its artistic director and the underwriting of the Solisti Ensemble by the very generous and much-loved couple, Dick and Beth Landis.

Bravo for this superb music, which incalculably enhances life in Nevada County.
