Mountain Laurel closes Friday Market season

If the Grass Valley Friday Market has to close this week, at least it closes in style with Mountain Laurel providing free entertainment from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

The Nevada County-based group has played traditional bluegrass tunes, gospel tunes and originals for 15-plus years. The group has released two CDs.

Mountain Laurel members are Pete Siegfried on lead vocals and mandolin, Ken Nilsson on guitar and vocals, Paul Siese on banjo and vocals, Doug Bianchi on bass, and Kathy Barwick on resonator guitar and vocals.

Friday Market also features a certified farmer’s market and art, merchandise, food and beverage vendors.

Call 265-9495 or 272-8315 with any questions about the last Friday Market of the season.
