Mount St. Mary’s tops Yuba River, still unbeaten

Mount Saint Mary’s used a full-court press and got a good inside game from Grace Gulsvig to top Yuba River Charter 31-9 in a matchup between two of the top small-school basketball teams.

The win moves Mount Saint Mary’s to 9-0 on the season and drops Yuba River Charter to 8-2.

For Mount Saint Mary’s, Annie McDaniel scored 12 points and had five steals, while Gulsvig netted 16 points to go with her 15 rebounds. Maddie Rositto scored four, and Kylee Dresbauch-Hill led the offense at point guard, tallying four assists.



The long and athletic Yuba River Charter team was led by Eliza Rowe’s five points and five rebounds, along with Ellory Smith’s two points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots.
