Mothers’ words

There was a telling and unprepared response from the presidential candidates to a question during the Wednesday evening debate. Bob Schiefer asked what role the strong women in their lives played. President Bush quipped, “stand up straight and stop scowling,” referring to advice from his mother. Senator Kerry, in remembering his mother, said her last words of guidance to him were, “Integrity, integrity, integrity.” Which quality do you think might be more valuable in president?
