Submitted to The Union

Community members are encouraged to honor the mother or mother-figure in their life by bringing her to Animal Place in Grass Valley. They’ll get an opportunity to write down the reasons why mothers are so important. The staff will share stories of motherhood at the sanctuary, which will be followed by an opportunity to meet the rescued animal that calls Animal Place home. The special Mother’s Day event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11 at Animal Place, 17314 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley. Cost: $35/adult; $20/children; children 3 and under free. Tickets are available at: http://www.donate.animalplace.org/Mothersday2019.
