Motherlode Toastmasters

It was certainly Valentine’s Day at this weeks Toastmaster’s meeting.

It all started one Saturday afternoon when Valleri Wilhelm was presented with an opportunity to have a Long Hair Chihuahua. She presented “Foxy Lady, My Devoted Valentine.”

Glen Boire gave us “A Fantasy Island Valentine” as he described the different types of love and encouraged us to give back to our society with community service.

“Queen For A Day,” was recounted by Joyce Peterman as she described how she and her siblings celebrated her step-mother’s birthday. I know how old you are if you remember the show … Joyce was voted as the Speaker who best met her objectives.

Mel Burris was Voted Best Table Topic Master speaking so eloquently on Love and Richard Bannister was the Master Evaluator tonight.

We meet at 6:45 p.m. on Mondays at 640 E. Main St. in Grass Valley (behind Valet Cleaners). For more information, call Jessica 263-2768
