More rain on the way, but none for Halloween

Nevada County’s damp October is about to get wetter with another round of showers and thunderstorms expected today and Tuesday.

There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms today and tonight in the foothills, according to the National Weather Service in Sacramento. There is a 30 percent chance for thunderstorms Tuesday and a slight chance for showers Tuesday night.

Highs will be in the upper 60s today, dropping to the mid-50s Tuesday. Lows will be in the mid-40s both days.



Clear skies are predicted to return for Halloween Wednesday and are projected to stay that way through the weekend. Highs will be in the mid-60s Wednesday through Sunday, with lows in the mid-40s.
