Miriam D. Taylor

Miriam D. Taylor died Oct. 5 in Grass Valley. She was 85.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at United Methodist Church, 433 Broad St., Nevada City.

She was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Glendale, Calif., to Robert and Eva Trowbridge. In 1943, she married William A. Taylor in Glendale.



Mrs. Taylor was the executive secretary of ITT General Controls for 10 years and secretary of the Glendale School District for 20 years. She was a member of the Theta Chi Epsilon Sorority, of which she served as president in 1975-76 and 1984-85.

She is survived by her sons, Dean Taylor of Castroville, Calif., and Robert Taylor of Newberg, Ore.; three grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.




Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband and grandson, Jess Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be sent to cancer society or hospice.

Arrangements are by Chapel of the Angels Mortuary and Crematory, Grass Valley.
