Miriam Crase

Miriam Alice (Prisk) Crase died Jan. 23. She was 79.

Memorial services have already been held.

Mrs. Crase was born May 3, 1928, in Grass Valley. She lived in Grass Valley through high school. After graduating high school she married her high school sweetheart, Jim Crase. They moved to San Francisco and attended San Francisco State University. She graduated with a degree in teaching and taught in the Oakland school system before moving to Southern California to raise her family.

Mrs. Crase was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church for 38 years, where she served on the Bishop’s committee, the altar guild and was active with her family in the support and care of the Church.

Mrs. Crase is survived by her children, Ann and Bob and grandchildren Jeremy, Mical, Daniel, Steven, Russell and Karl.
