Minerva Sisk

Services for Minerva Sisk of Nevada City will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.



Mrs. Sisk died Sunday, Feb. 10, in Nevada City. She was 92.




She was born June 22, 1909, in El Dorado to Walter and Ada Howdy. For more than 65 years she lived in Nevada City, where she worked as a nanny for many families. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Nevada City.

She is survived by four nieces and nephews, 10 great-nieces and nephews, 13 great-great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-great-nieces and nephews, all of the Sacramento area. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Luvella Brown; and brother, James Howdy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
