Miner’s clinic opens in Whispering Pines

The clinic that has offered eighteen years of medical care for everyone is moving this weekend.

On Monday, the Miners Family Health Center will re-open for business at 1345 Whispering Pines Lane in Grass Valley.

The new site will allow the medical clinic to expand in the fall and hire two new providers, said Executive Director Scott McFarland. Dr. Frank Lang and Dr. Heather Lucas-Ross will join the team in September.

Patients of all income levels used the clinic for the things such as the common cold and vaccinations to poison oak rashes at its old location on Zion Street in Nevada City.

“We see any patients regardless of their ability to pay,” McFarland said.

Providers can be reached at their new phone numbers on Monday. For Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Martin call 273-9340. Dr. Fasciano and Steve Star can be reached at 273-9342 and Mary Berg, Mary Raymond and Pediatrics can be reached at 273-9344.
