Mildred Nelson-Harris

Private memorial services for Mildred Nelson-Harris of Grass Valley will be conducted at Alta Mesa Memorial park in Palo Alto.

Mrs. Nelson-Harris died Wednesday, June 23, in Grass Valley. She was 91.

She was born Aug. 26, 1912, in Nebraska to Philip Purcell and Bertha Bellman. She worked for Pacific Bell in Los Angeles. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine and Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and her family.



She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Robert Gary of Grass Valley; son-in-law, Dean Glotfelty of Rocklin; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kim and Kent Kilroy of Grass Valley; granddaughter, Lori Hernandez of Lander, Wyo.; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mark and Ladona Pearson of Auburn; grandsons Jay Gary, and Matt and Brett Pearson, all of Sacramento; brothers Gil, Harry and Raymond Percell all of Los Angeles; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Nelson; daughter, Tanya Glotfelty; and grandson, Rod Gary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
