Mildred Bishop

Memorial services for Mildred “Millie” A. Bishop of North San Juan will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Taylor Middle School Auditorium, 850 Taylor Blvd. in Millbrae. Private graveside services will be conducted at the North San Juan Cemetery in North San Juan.

Mrs. Bishop died Friday, Sept. 17, at home. She was 57.

She was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Thomas Emerson and Eula M. (Bowles) Lewis. She married William Bishop on April 12, 1972, in San Francisco. She was a special education school teacher for over 25 years. She was a member and current president of the Millbrae Lions Club. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway, the Millbrae PTA and the National Education Association. She was recently named “Woman of the Year” in Millbrae.



She is survived by her husband, William Bishop of Nevada City; son, Joseph Russo of Woodsie; grandsons Andrew Pace and Travis Russo; brother, Thomas Lewis of Loomis; and mother, Eula Lewis of Richmond.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
