Michael Marchi

Michael Vincent Marchi passed away May 20, surrounded by family and friends, at a hospital in Sacramento. He was 54.

Mr. Marchi was born July 20, 1952, in Redwood City. For the past 36 years, he has been employed as a thermal engineer for Thermax in Lodi and Marchi Associates in Redwood City.

Mr. Marchi loved to take road trips with his family throughout the Western United States. He also enjoyed camping, boating and fishing and visiting many national parks. His love of aviation brought him and his family to many air shows. His son, Jacob, graduates from Galt High School on May 30 and is pursuing a career in aviation.



Mr. Marchi’s loyalty and devotion to family and friends is unsurpassed. He was a great conversationalist and was well informed in world affairs, politics, economics and technology.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura; daughters Lisa and Jennifer; son, Jacob; granddaughter, Alexis; and grandson, Steven, all of Lodi and Galt. He is also survived by his brothers Chris and Tim of Grass Valley; sisters Suzanne Freschi, of Grass Valley, Deanna Tanner of Woodside and Jeanine of Galt; and mother, Violet Marchi of Chicago Park. He was preceded in death by his father, Vito Vincent Marchi, in September of 2000.




In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mr. Marchi’s name to the American Cancer Society.
