Michael Franti performs in Grass Valley twice this summer

If you are a fan of Michael Franti, you are in luck-he is coming to Grass Valley twice this summer. The first time is June 30 in a benefit concert; the second is during the California WorldFest on July 15.

Musician, poet and social activist Franti and Friends will put on a concert June 30 to benefit the Inside Circle Foundation’s New Folsom Prison Outreach Program. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Grass Valley Veteran’s Hall, after an auction and dinner by Ike’s Quarter Cafe at 5:30. Tickets for $23 are now on sale at Yabobo and Love Shack Records in Nevada City, and in Auburn at Cherry Records. For ticket information or to donate auction items, contact Open Door Productions at 530-271-1436 or e-mail akradio@sbcglobal.net; http://www.insidecircle.org.

One-day tickets to California WorldFest the Saturday Franti performs are available at BriarPatch and Windhorse Rugs in Grass Valley, Yabobo in Nevada City and Cherry Records in Auburn.
