Michael Farren

Michael Vaughn Farren died Feb. 4 in Port Angeles, Wash. He was 71.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held. His cremated remains will be scattered at sea.

Mr. Farren was born April 16, 1936, in Oakland to Raymond Joseph Farren and Mable Jeannette (Gustafson) Johnson. He married Judy Ellen (Adams) Farren on Feb. 11, 1971, in Berkeley.

Mr. Farren worked in industrial refrigeration in the Bay Area and school building maintenance in Grass Valley. He worked in hospital building maintenance in Coquille, Ore. He retired to Sequim, Wash., in 2000.

He enjoyed sailing, fishing and camping.

Mr. Farren is survived by his wife, Judy Ellen Farren; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Roland Block of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Rodger and Cindy Farren of Crescent City; daughter, Heather Farren of Grass Valley; cousin, George Farren and his wife Pat of Sequim, Wash.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many beloved friendships developed throughout his life.
