Measure C open house Oct. 5 in Nevada City

The City of Nevada City will hold its third of five scheduled “Measure C” open houses from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at City Hall, located at 317 Broad St. in Nevada City. The open houses are intended to provide voters with information about Measure C, a 3/8 cent sales tax that will provide sustainable funding for the city’s fire department and one additional police officer. The public is invited to stop in any time between 6:30 and 8 p.m., given the drop-in formate of the open house. For more information about Measure C, visit the city’s website at The final two open houses are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 15 at Fire Station 54 and 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Seaman’s Lodge in Pioneer Park.
