Mastering Cuisine

Andi Krause teaches cooking to students of Horizon and Bitney Springs Charter School Monday and Thursday at the Grass Valley Senior Center on McCourtney Road. Krause became a trained chef and pastries chef at the Epicurean Cooking School in Los Angeles and Pacific Coast College for pastries in Sacramento. She also graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in anthropology.

Krause also does enrichment after-school programs at Scotten and Pleasant Valley schools and teaches hip-hop dancing at Hennessy School.

Krause teaches 10 students how to cook good food. The day the photos were taken, the students were cooking Irish beef stew and lemon custard pie.
