Mary Laferriere

Services for Mary Laferriere of Grass Valley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Grass Valley Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Laferriere died Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 67.



She was born April 22, 1935, in Goffstown, N.H., to Efstratios Areges and Alice Batchelder. She married Germaine “Gerry” Laferriere on Nov. 1, 1954, in Manchester, N.H. She was the park manager for the Mountain Air Mobile Home Park. She was a member of the Grass Valley Women of the Moose and the Nevada City Elks. She enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, and charity work.

She is survived by her husband, Germaine Laferriere; children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.




Memorial contributions may be made to the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
