Marvin Martin

Private family services will be held for Marvin Gale Martin, a 20 year resident of Grass Valley. Mr. Martin passed away June 20 at his home. He was 62.

Mr. Martin was born Jan. 23, 1945, to Husia Kyle Martin and Bertha Mae Ruby (Stafford) Martin in Oroville.

Mr. Martin served in the National Guard and worked as a carpenter for 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.



Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Margie Martin of Grass Valley; daughters Cindy Ellison of Alma, Ark., and Shannon Ernest of Grass Valley; son, Jason Martin of Nevada City; sister, Bonnie Tacket of Galena, Kan.; sister, Loretta Loyd of Attalla, Ala.; sister, Norma Martin of Oroville; brother, Carroll Martin of Oroville; and grandchildren Makayla Ellison, Joshua Martin and Dillan Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jearl D. Martin and Winfred K. Martin.




Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
