Marvin Crabb

Graveside services for Marvin Wilson Crabb of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Nevada City.

Mr. Crabb died Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Spring Hill Convalescent Hospital. He was 85.

He was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Mammoth, Utah, to Harry Crabb and Ethel May Minear. He graduated from Grass Valley High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1943 to 1946, in France, Germany and the Philippines. He worked for Purity Stores from 1937 to 1981. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and gardening.



He is survived by his sons Robert L. Crabb of Nevada City and William Crabb of Grass Valley; grandson, Joshua Crabb of Grass Valley; and brother, Wendell Crabb of Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Crabb, in 1921; and mother, Ethel May Ingraham, in 1977.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
