MARSHALL WHARTON

Marshall Hale Wharton died May 24 at his home. He was 92.

In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.

Mr. Wharton was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Lexington, Okla., to Sidney Ira Wharton and Clara Dever Wharton. He moved to California as a young man. He served in the U.S. Navy. He learned the jewelry making trade from his father and worked as an independent custom designer for over 45 years. Along with designing jewelry, he also designed custom microphones and designed one for the Dixie Chicks. He married Vienna Farale in 1968 in Las Vegas and was a devoted husband for 40 years.



Mr. Wharton was a member of the Nevada City Masonic Lodge # 13 and a member of Ben Ali Shrine, Sacramento.

Mr. Wharton is survived by his wife, Vienna Wharton of Grass Valley; brother, Jack Wharton of Southern California, and nieces and nephews.




He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Ira Wharton and Clara Dever Wharton, and brothers, Kenton and Glenn Wharton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
