Marlin Morrison

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Marlin L. Morrison.

Mr. Morrison passed away June 19, due to pneumonia, at a hospital in Bremerton, Wash. He was 78.

Mr. Morrison was born June 30, 1928, in Ireton, Iowa.



He moved to Modesto at the age of eight and graduated from Modesto High School. In 1949, he married Shirley Thrasher, whom he later divorced. He went on to marry Pat Gleason in 1965. The couple divorced in 1992.

Mr. Morrison worked for the JC Penny Company for 43 years, in Modesto, Santa Rosa, Gridley, Paso Robles and in Grass Valley, where he retired. Mr. Morrison also lived in Pahrump, Nev., and was residing in Chimicum, Wash., at the time of his death.




Mr. Morrison is survived by his son, Randall K. Morrison, of Portland, Ore.; sister, Dorothy Houx, of Squim, Wash.; granddaughter, Heather Foden, of Chippenham, UK; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Cameron. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Wetter, of Chowchilla.
