March 28 and 29: An Eco Chic Trash Fashion Revue by Troupe de Trash at The Center for the Arts, 8 p.m.

Tickets for $20 available only at The Ridge Stop Café in North San Juan, BriarPatch Co-op and The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

March 29: General auditions for The Foothill Theatre Company at Nevada Theatre, 401 Broad Street, Nevada City, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Call the FTC business office at (530) 265-9320 for an appointment. Prepare two contrasting monologues no more than one and a half minutes apiece for a total of no more than three minutes. Also, bring a headshot and resume with you. FTC operates under an AEA SPT Tier 6 contract.

April 25: House and Garden Exhibition and Spring Art and Plant Sale kickoff for the Neighborhood Center of the Arts with an open house and performance event, followed by a reception from 5 to 8 p.m.

June 16: Summer classes begin at Stage Nine Theatre in Folsom. Classes are for children through adults. Class topics cover auditioning through making costumes and props.
