March 14: Author Richard Unger gives a lecture, “LifePrints: Deciphering Your Life Purpose from Your Fingerprints,” at Unity in the Gold Country, 500 Crown Point Circle in Grass Valley, at 7 p.m., $20/$25 at the door. A workshop is scheduled for the next day, same location, $75/$85 at the door.

March 15: “A Matter of Taste” at Miners Foundry in Nevada City is a benefit for the Nevada City School of the Arts.
