Mark Allan Datlik died Aug. 5 at his home in Burley, Idaho. He was 48.

A memorial was hold in Burley, Idaho, and a family memorial will be held Sept. 13 at the home of his mother and grandmother in Lake Wildwood.

Mark was born Oct. 27, 1959, in San Francisco to Jeanne M. Datlik of Penn Valley and George C. Datlik of Dixfield, Maine. He grew up in Richmond and San Pablo and lived in several Northern California locations until moving to Burley, Idaho, where he lived and worked until his death.

Mark loved his family, friends, animals, and sports, especially fishing, hunting, swimming and water polo. He was loved dearly for his gentleness, booming laugh and always sunny smile, ready to lift your spirits.

He is survived by his mother; father; brothers Paul G. Datlik and John A. Datlik of Marysville; sister, Jennifer McDonald of Seattle, Wash.; grandmother E. Marieth Erickson of Penn Valley, and life partner, Diane Hockdale of Burley, Idaho.
