Marjorie Walters

Services for Marjorie E. Walters of Grass Valley will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Masonic Temple in Palo Alto.

Mrs. Walters died in Grass Valley June 9, at the age of 88.

Born Oct. 10, 1915, in Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada, she moved to Grass Valley in 1999 after a move to Redwood City in 1960 from Vancouver, Canada.

She married Albert E. “Ned” Walters in October, 1939, in Vancouver.

A homemaker, Mrs. Walters enjoyed reading and playing cards and was a past worthy matron, Order of Eastern Star Palo Alto Chapter 213.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Frost of Vallejo and Nora Kinney of Penn Valley; and grandchildren Toby Kinney of Sacramento, Joshua Kinney of San Mateo, Daniel Frost of San Luis Obispo and Terence Frost and his wife, Leah of Vallejo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1999; and her sister, Dorthy Day, in 1998.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
