Marjorie Peterson

Memorial services for Marjorie L. Peterson of Dallas, Texas, will be conducted at noon Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Higgins Lions Community Association, 925 E. Hacienda Drive, Grass Valley.

Mrs. Peterson died Monday, Jan. 10. She was 81.

She was born July 27, 1923, in Grand Island, Neb., to Ed and Blanch Batie. She married Roy M. Peterson on Feb. 26, 1977, in McCallan, Texas. She was a secretary for the U.S. government in Seattle, Wash. She was a member of the Fire Auxiliary, Pink Lady at Auburn Faith Hospital and San Juan Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Roy W. Peterson of Grass Valley; son, Ed Helm of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Julie England of Sacramento; aunt, Hazel Harfs of Seattle, Wash.; and one grandson, Ian Helm. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Lockwood, and Hazel Batie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Higgins Lions Community Association, 925 E. Hacienda Drive, Grass Valley 95949.

Arrangements are under the direction of Shannon Funeral Chapel.
