Marie Dyer

Marie Dorothy Dyer, 97, of Grass Valley, died Monday, Jan. 17, in Grass Valley.

No local services are planned. Internment will be in Warner, Alberta, Canada.

Mrs. Dyer was born July 8, 1907, in Alma, Wis., to Lutzie and Marie Meisser. Her childhood was spent in Warner, Alberta, Canada with three brothers and a sister after the death of her parents at an early age. She attended Calgary Normal School in 1929. Following school, she moved to Long Beach where she married James Dyer, she lived most of her adult years in Glendale. She relocated to the Grass Valley area in 2001 to live near her son.



She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Joan Dyer; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law Cheryl Dyer Berg and Jesse Berg of Berkeley, and Kim and Phil Meyers of Portland, Ore.; and great-granddaughters Evie Berg and Zoe Meyers.
