Margie Allstot

Services for Margie Allstot of Nevada City will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Abundant Live Community Church.

Mrs. Allstot died Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Spring Hill Manor in Grass Valley. She was 70.

She was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Huntington Park, to Wes and Marge Moore. She married Les Allstot on Nov. 21, 1953. She was a rural letter carrier at the Nevada City Post Office for 21 years. Prior to that she was a bookkeeper for various small businesses in the area. She was a member of the Grass Valley Jayciettes, NUHS Booster Club, Sierra Angler’s Society, Goods Sam’s and the Nevada County Planning Commission. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, RVing and gardening.



She is survived by her father Wes Moore of Grass Valley; brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Sue Moore of Hanford; mother-in-law, Bernice Barker of Long Beach; daughter and son-in-law Martie and Royal Lloyd of Las Banos; daughter, Jayne Sawyer of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Allstot of Grass Valley; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Allstot in 1994; mother, Marge Moore in 2002; and father-in-law, Ernie Barker in 2005.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Aid Thrift Shop, 317 S. Auburn St., Grass Valley 95945.
