Margaret Sornsen

Margaret H. Sornsen, 89, of Grass Valley died Sunday, Jan. 4, in Grass Valley.

No services are planned. Burial will be at the Placerville Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Sornsen was born April 26, 1914, in Nevada City, to George M. and Mildred E. White. She graduated from Nevada City High School and was educated at French Hospital in San Francisco. She worked as an L.V.N. for 33 years at the Nevada County General Hospital. She enjoyed knitting.



She is survived by her son, Garry Weldon Sr. of Sacramento; grandsons Garry Weldon Jr. of Sacramento, Glen and Clay Weldon both of Marysville; granddaughter, Leanne Story of Loomis; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Noel R. Weldon; husbands Glen Weldon in 1946, Sam Stevens and Robert Sornsen both in the 1970s; brothers George S. White, Lloyd White, Robert White and James P. White.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
