Margaret Peterson

Margaret K. Peterson died Feb. 21 in Grass Valley. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at Oakmont Memorial Chapel in Lafayette. Burial will take place at Oakmont Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson was born Dec. 12, 1914, in Missouri to Henry and Olinda Fortman. She married Alvin Peterson in 1914. She worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for nine years and was a member of Sierra Presbyterian Church, the Road Runners Club and Sons of Norway. She enjoyed gardening.



Mrs. Peterson is survived by her sons Wayne Peterson, of Incline Village, Nev., and Bruce Peterson, of Lafayette; daughter, Linda Murdoch, of Berea, Ky.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Peterson.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
