Margaret Nehring

Memorial services for Margaret Delores Nehring of Grass Valley will be conducted at 11 a.m. Aug. 10 at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette.

Mrs. Nehring died Saturday, July 13, in Alta Sierra. She was 65.

She was born Feb. 23, 1937, in North Dakota to Lawrence Mawhold and Elizabeth Schlicting.



She attended nursing college in Minnesota and worked for 35 years as a registered nurse, most recently at Mt. Diablo Hospital in Concord.

She married Gerald “Jerry” Nehring in Devil’s Lake, N.D., in 1956. She enjoyed gardening and decorating, and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Grass Valley.




She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Christine Nehring of Dublin; sisters Bonita Moran of Walnut Creek and Leeann Kerzman of Richmond, Minn.; and brother, Jack Mawhold of Kingsbury. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
