Margaret Fassino

Visitation for family and friends of Margaret K. Fassino of Grass Valley will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Fassino died Monday, Jan. 3, at home. She was 86.

She was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Pocohantas, Okla., to Charles T. and Eva Leana Davis. She married Michael R. Fassino on Dec. 25, 1934. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Michael R. Fassino of Grass Valley; sons and daughters-in-law Michael A. and Judy Fassino of Grass Valley; and Don and Ann Fassino of Kalama, Wash.; grandchildren Bobby Fassino of Wasilla, Ark., Bertina Brown of Grass Valley; Donna Birdi of Truckee; Kevin Fassino of Rough and Ready, Kathy Nall of Reno, Nev., Tammy Anderson-Wise of Auburn; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles D. Davis, William E. Davis, and Melvin G. Davis; and sister, Mable L. Addison.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 12399 Nevada City Highway, Grass Valley 95945.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
