Mardine Morris

Private graveside services for Mardine L. Morris of Penn Valley will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Penn Valley District Cemetery.

Mrs. Morris died Saturday, Dec. 28, in Grass Valley. She was 85.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1917, in Garfield County, Utah, to Edwin and Eunice (Thompson) Thornton. She graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Robert A. Morris in November 1937. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Lewis De Felicis of Henderson, Nev.; son, Bob Morris of Grass Valley; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Flo Morris of Penn Valley; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Morris, in 2000.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
