Many thanks to Citizens Bank and Kilroy’s Automotive

The Nevada County Foster Youth Services Indepen- dent Living Program (ILP), under the auspices of the Nev- ada County superintendent of schools, extends heartfelt appreciation to two local businesses that assisted in life skills education of local teens in foster care.

Citizens Bank of Northern California hosted 10 youth in a “Money Management Camp” where Citizens’ employees volunteered their time over two Saturdays, training the youth in the use of credit, budgeting, saving and investing.

Covering a different area of life skills, Kent Kilroy of Kilroy’s Automotive in Grass Valley took a group of 20 foster youth under his wing (and under the hood!) and spent an afternoon sharing with them necessary instruction on maintaining an automobile.
