Man injured in dirt bike accident

A motorcyclist was injured Saturday afternoon in an off-road accident.

Michael Harvey, 27, of Rancho Cordova, was riding a dirt bike on private property off Red Dog Road at 3:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was reportedly jumping dirt hills on his 2005 Yamaha motorcycle when he fell and fractured his left leg, according to the highway patrol.



Harvey was taken by helicopter to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
