Mimi Blais will present “Ragtime, S’il Vous Plait” twice Saturday at City Centre Playhouse.

In other words, that’s ragtime with a French twist.

Blais, who lives in Montreal, is a classically trained French Canadian pianist. During performances, she appears as herself and in the guise of outrageous personalities including “Georgette Liberacette,” a bejeweled Liberace groupie.

Her repertoire includes a century’s worth of ragtime compositions, from Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” to her contemporary originals.

The 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. performances Saturday conclude Blais’ eighth annual tour in California. Doors open an hour before show time.

Tickets are $15 and available at The Book Seller, Harmony Books, at the door or by calling 477-1107.

City Centre Playhouse is at 127-A Bank St. Call Lessie Diffey at 273-7567 for more details.
