Forty members of the Nevada County Senior Providers Network (NCSPN) gathered Wednesday at Crystal Ridge Care Center for their monthly breakfast meeting. Members were excited about the special presentation by the in-demand national speaker, Machen MacDonald.

MacDonald pioneered performance accountability coaching and established the ProBrilliance Leadership Institute. He is the author of four best-selling business books, a life coach and a popular columnist for The Union newspaper.

Rhonda Herrin, Crystal Ridge Care Center’s community relations director and co-host of NCSPN explained, “Machen graciously donated his time to speak to NCSPN. Our members run various programs, services and facilities serving seniors in our community. Our work is both rewarding and demanding with long hours the norm. I felt that Machen’s approach and techniques would be of real benefit for our membership as they accomplish their important work.”

Herrin continued, “Machen is a foremost expert at showing people how to gain clarity and confidence to be both more productive and fulfilled. We were all anticipating his presentation, and he did not disappoint. We left the meeting invigorated and equipped with some practical tools.”

During MacDonald’s informative presentation, members learned how to look at themselves and their interactions with others in a more empowered way. He provided simple, effective tools to help reset our thoughts and expectations.

After his presentation, MacDonald commented, “Rarely do I have the opportunity to present to a room full of such selfless people that do so much for our seniors and their families. I hope that I was able to provide as much peace, relief and ease for them as they provide for others.”

NCSPN meetings take place once each month with speakers chosen for their expertise. The meetings also provide time to share news on senior programs, services and health care to better serve the seniors in our area.
