Mabel Wilson

Visitation for family and friends of Mabel L. Wilson of Grass Valley will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary. A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grass Valley. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum in Santa Barbara.

Mrs. Wilson died Sunday, Dec. 29, in Grass Valley. She was 88.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1914, in Hot Springs, Ark., to Joseph Kilgore and Barry Disheroon. She married Kenneth G. Wilson on April 15, 1939, in Santa Barbara. She worked for Texaco Oil Company for 22 years as a computer operator. She was a member of the Y.L.I, the Catholic Daughters and the San Roque Catholic Church in Santa Barbara. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital in Santa Barbara.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Wilson of Missouri City, Texas and Father Alan Wilson of Berkeley; daughters, Janet Marshall of Laguna Beach and Nancy Moore of Gardnerville, Nev.; sister, Ann Inskeep of Silverton, Ore.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wilson; brothers, Harry, Leonard, and Howard Kilgore; and sister, Blanche Berry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
