Ludi Hinrichs will be bringing his swinging holiday sounds back to Victorian Christmas again this year, playing piano, trombone and vocals as well as the Australian didjeridoo.

“I really love the jazz of Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, and Theolonius Monk, and have found that most people like to warm up to these

sounds on chilly night, too,” the veteran jazz musician said.

On Wednesday nights, Ludi will be playing at the stage near Bank of America starting about 7 p.m. On Sunday, Dec. 22, Ludi will be playing at The New York Hotel on Broad Street from 1 to 5 p.m.

Ludi is classically trained on trombone and piano and comes from a family of musicians. He describes his primary creative sources as jazz, the avant garde and Asian/aboriginal music.
