Lower Cascade pipeline environmental report close

An environmental impact report on the proposed Lower Cascade Canal/Banner Cascade Pipeline is now being completed, and is expected to be available for public review in December.

On Wednesday, directors of the Nevada Irrigation District heard an update on the project. They also:

– Heard a preliminary 2007 budget report from Finance Manager Marie Owens. A more detailed financial analysis is scheduled for Nov. 8.

– Approved a $43,173 change order for Devine Tarbell & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm that is assisting NID with its effort to renew its 50-year federal license for the Yuba-Bear Power Project.

The next regular meeting of the NID Board of Directors will be held at 9 a.m. on Nov. 8 at the NID Business Center in Grass Valley.
