Lourie Haldane

Services for Lourie Haldane of Grass Valley were conducted Feb. 18, at Forest Lawn in Cypress.

Mrs. Haldane died Friday, Feb. 10, in Grass Valley. She was 93.

She was born June 18, 1912, in St. Joseph, Ill., to Francis M. and Lutie Belle Rowlen. She graduated high school and married George W. Haldane on June 15, 1935, in Detroit, Mich. She worked for Detroit Lubricators prior to and during World War II. She and her husband owned and operated Pastime Park in Tucson, Ariz., and Haldane Machine Products in Montebello. She enjoyed gardening, upholstery, and furniture refinishing.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Linda Haldane of Nevada City, and George and Wanda Haldane of La Palma; daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Owen Henderson of Healdsburg; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Haldane in 1979; and daughter-in-law, Jane Uhl Haldane in 1978.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
