Louis Castiglioni

Memorial services for Louis Castiglioni of Nevada City will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Nevada City chapel of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary. Father Timothy Nondorf will officiate the services.

Mr. Castiglioni died Sunday, Feb. 27, in Nevada City. He was 88.

He was born June 1, 1916, in Alameda to Giuseppe and Letizia Castiglioni. He graduated from Gallileo High School in San Francisco. He married Bernice Guidotti on June 18, 1939, in San Francisco. He worked for over 25 years as a plant engineer for A.D.S. Foods in San Jose. He enjoyed woodworking, home projects and photography.



He is survived by his wife, Bernice Castiglioni of Nevada City; daughters Yvonne Arluck of Seattle, Wash., and Christine Castiglioni of Penn Valley; granddaughter, Denise Howitt of Seattle, Wash.; grandson, Matt Arluck of Chicago, Ill.; and brother, Armando Castiglioni of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his son, David Castiglioni, in 1994.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
