Lonely Kings returns to its roots

Lonely Kings will be joined by Gun Metal Grey this Friday at the Nevada Club in downtown Grass Valley.

Formed 11 years ago in Grass Valley, the Lonely Kings soon moved to Santa Cruz to join the Bay Area music scene. Fearless Records released the hard-core punk band’s first full-length album “WHAT IF?” a few years later. Since then, the Lonely Kings have released five other CDs and tours regularly in the United States and Europe.

A year ago, Emile Janicot from Grass Valley became the group’s bass player. He joins Jason Wilkinson on drums, Jake Desrochers on guitar and vocals, and John DeLuca on guitar, all with ties to this area.

Friday’s show starts at 10 p.m. Nevada Club is at 108 W. Main St. Cover is $3.Carol Feineman 7/20/04 waiting for call back
