Lois Motola

Memorial services for Lois Motola of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Chapel of the Angels in Grass Valley.

Mrs. Motola died Wednesday, Oct. 13, in Grass Valley. She was 84.

She was born July 21, 1920, in Lodi, to George and Florence McFarland. She was a U.S. Army nurse for four years. She had a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked for Lockheed and Ford Aerospace. She married Mario Motola on July 17, 1945, in Spartanberg, S.C.



She is survived by her husband, Mario Motola of Grass Valley; sons and daughters-in-law Peter and Nancy Motola of Italy, Curtis and Karen Motola of Nevada City, and Patrick and Nancy Motola of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
