Logue, McClintock hold ‘ignorant positions’

Chris Simcox’s attempt to demonize illegal immigrants completely ignores the immense contribution that these people make to our economy.

Our ascendancy into the world economy in the past century was fueled by the large numbers of Irish, Italians, and Jews moving here and, internally, by the numbers of African-Americans shifting north. Currently, any time we (or Chris Simcox) use a computer with an Intel chip, search on Google, buy inexpensive lettuce, has their roof stripped or our children or parents cared for, we can generally thank an immigrant. These people represent creative, energetic human capital.

The fact that Dan Logue and Tom McClintock have signed on and support this program shows either a complete misunderstanding of how a modern economy operates or an effort to locate a wedge issue that will be to their benefit politically.

We need a coherent border, in order for us to know who is in the country and we need to capture payroll and social security taxes from the people working here. Please let these men know how profoundly ignorant their positions are when they visit us.
